Hi! My Name is Ms. Gaytán. I am 34 years old. I live in Culver City with my two kids Sebastian and Natalia. I enjoy writing poetry, playing guitar, watching Netflix and hanging out with friends and family. I grew up in Nickerson Gardens (a subsidized housing unit) within Watts, in Los Angeles, CA. I attended 112th Street School Elementary from K-5th grade. I then attended Markham Middle School from 6th-8th grade before graduating from King/Drew Medical Magnet High School in 2002.

In June of 2006, I graduated with a Bachelors of Arts from University of California, Los Angeles with a double major in History and Chicana/o Studies and a double minor in Political Science and African-American Studies. In June 2010, I graduated from the same institution with a teaching credential and a Master’s Degree of Education. Currently, I am enrolled in CSU Dominguez Hills’s School Leadership Program to obtain my administrative credential.
